Cathy Tamburello

Non-Attorney Advocate

Cathy Tamburello is non-attorney advocate who is committed to helping families achieve their vision for their loved one with a disability. Cathy works with families to develop a clear vision and to build a plan of services and supports to make that vision a reality. As a parent of an adult with disabilities and a retired special educator, Cathy brings years of experience as parent and as a professional. Cathy serves on the Board of Directors for YCS, as Co-Chair of the Regional Family Support Planning Council of Essex and as a consultant for the Family Support Organization of Essex. She is an active participant in the Council of Parent Advocates and Attorneys (COPAA). Cathy works with families to build IEPs that result in achievement and progress.

• Organize documents
• Prepare for IEP meetings
• Attend IEP meetings
• Assist with correspondence
• Inform families about their rights
